Effect and use	Tetracycline antibiotic. Used for the treatment of infectious diseases in pigs caused by gram-positive and negative bacteria and mycoplasma, such as Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Salmonellosis, Pasteurellosis, and so on.
Usage and Dosage	Intramuscular injection: one dose, 0.5~1ml per 10kg body weight of the pig, once a day, for 2~3 day.
Untoward effect	Intramuscular injection can cause pain, inflammation and necrosis at the injection site. Doxycycline has some hepatic and nephrotoxicity, overdose can cause severe liver damage, lethal nephrotoxicity is occasionally seen.
Cautions	(1) Use with caution in animals with severe hepatic or renal impairment. (2) Because these drugs can easily pass through the placenta and enter the milk, they are prohibited in pregnant and lactating animals.
