Currently, it is commonly used in China to treat diseases such as avian typhoid fever, cholera, chicken dysentery, pneumonia, bronchitis, salpingitis, Escherichia coli disease in livestock and poultry, piglet dysentery, porcine pleuropneumonia, and calf dysentery. This product has complete cross resistance to ampicillin. This product is quite stable for stomach acid, and can be absorbed by 74% to 92% after oral administration in single stomach animals. The contents of the gastrointestinal tract affect its absorption rate, but do not affect its absorption degree, so it can be administered in combination. After taking the same dose internally, the serum concentration of amoxicillin is 1.5-3 times higher than that of ampicillin. The apparent distribution volume for dogs is 0.2L/kg. The half-lives of horses, cows, goats and sheep, dogs and cats are 0.66h, 1.5h, 1.12h, 0.77-1.5h, respectively. Amoxicillin can be combined with clavulanic acid to form tablets or suspensions for oral treatment of bacterial infections in the urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues of dogs and cats.
